Keywords:

Arabic language learning in religious universities, especially at IAI An-Nawawi, faces challenges in creating relevant and applicable methods in the midst of the ever-evolving needs of the times. Although various approaches have been applied, the integration between Arabic language learning and law, especially in the context of Islamic family law, has not been widely studied. This study aims to analyze changes in Arabic language learning through a legal approach based on the perspective of students at IAI An-Nawawi. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores students' experiences and views related to the integration of legal materials in Arabic language learning. The results of the study show that the legal approach can improve students' understanding of the practical context of the use of Arabic in the field of Islamic family law, as well as enrich the existing curriculum. The discussion of the results emphasized the importance of a legal approach to strengthen the relevance of Arabic teaching in religious universities, while improving students' competence in facing challenges in the professional world. The novelty of this research lies in the combination of the study of Islamic language and family law, which has not been widely discussed in the context of Arabic language education. This research is expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum at IAI An-Nawawi and have an impact on improving the quality of education in religious universities in Indonesia.
